Vancouver-based writer Schofield is the author of the novels Malarky and Martin John, which was a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. During her July to September 2018 summer residency she worked on a complex and inventive story that responds to both Jorge Luis Borges’ “The Library of Babel” and the current housing affordability crisis in her hometown.
