Russell Wangersky was nominated for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the Thomas Head Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award for his 2012 short story collection, Whirl Away. He was nominated for the Writers’ Trust Nonfiction Prize in 2008 for his memoir Burning Down the House. Wangersky lives in St. John’s, where he is an editor and columnist with The Telegram.
