Louise Dumayne

Louise Dumayne is a fiction writer based in the Yukon wilderness. She has finished a thriller manuscript and is working on a second with a supernatural element. She was an actor in London for over fifteen years before moving to Alaska to work with sled dogs. Her work draws on her granular knowledge of a unique bush lifestyle, the caring but claustrophobic culture of remote communities, and the eccentric characters drawn to the far north. She won the Lush Triumphant Short Fiction Award in 2021. Dumayne lives off road, off grid in a cabin in the woods with her husband and a retired sled dog.
