Keriann McGoogan is a primatologist and author of Chasing Lemurs: My Journey into the Heart of Madagascar. For 19 months, she lived and worked in Madagascar, spending 12-hour days following groups of lemurs. She volunteers as a board member for Planet Madagascar, a not-for-profit that aims to conserve the island’s unique biodiversity and help the local Malagasy community. McGoogan’s writing has appeared or is forthcoming in the Nashwaak Review, The Toronto Star, Outpost Magazine, Verge Magazine, and Wanderlust Magazine. McGoogan lives in Guelph, Ontario. She was selected as a 2021 Writers' Trust Rising Star by Deborah Campbell.
