Jury Citation
“These poems exhibit an intriguing off-kilter lyricism, an imagination prone to extreme hikes. Urban spaces, in these poems, are familiar, yet unsettling, by virtue of the poet’s startling metaphors – a corkboard of thought, a wristwatch that’s also a theatre. These poems often challenge proportion and scale, probe the surreal, and investigate their own gritty myths of origin.” — 2009 RBC Bronwen Wallace Award Jury (Don Domanski, Jeanette Lynes, and Anne Simpson)
