Helen Knott is a Dane Zaa, Cree, and Metis woman from Prophet River First Nations. Her debut book, In My Own Moccasins: A Memoir of Resilience, was longlisted for the 2020 RBC Taylor Prize and is currently shortlisted for a BC Yukon Book Prize. Her work has been featured in The New Quarterly, Chatelaine, The Malahat Review, and other publications. Knott lives in Fort St. John, British Columbia.
