Hazel Jane Plante is a librarian, musician, and writer living on the West Coast. She is the author of the novels Little Blue Encyclopedia (for Vivian) and Any Other City. Plante lives on the unceded, ancestral, and current territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations (Vancouver).
