Christopher Waddell is a professor emeritus and former director at the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University in Ottawa. He joined Carleton after 10 years at CBC Television News, where he was initially program producer for The National, then Parliamentary bureau chief in Ottawa, and executive producer of news specials. With David Taras, Waddell is co-author of The End of the CBC? and the co-editor of How Canadians Communicate IV: Media and Politics and How Canadians Communicate V: Sports. He has a PhD in Canadian history from York University.
