Chimwemwe Undi

Chimwemwe Undi is a poet, editor, and lawyer based on Treaty One Territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her debut collection, Scientific Marvel, received the 2024 Governor General’s Literary Award in Poetry. Undi also co-founded the Voices, Ink. Youth Poetry Slam and has been named one of CBC Manitoba’s Future 40.  She has served as Winnipeg’s Poet Laureate and was recently appointed Canada’s Parliamentary Poet Laureate for 2025–2027.
