Balsillie Prize for Public Policy
for Power and Prediction: The Disruptive Economics of Artificial Intelligence

Jury Citation

“Artificial intelligence has long been heralded as a transformative technology, one that will upend entire industries and economies. However, achieving AI’s full potential requires a systemic rewiring of our economic and political infrastructure. In their latest book, Power and Prediction, Ajay Agrawal, Joshua Gans, and Avi Goldfarb unpack the barriers throttling adoption of this technology and make a compelling case for a “system mindset,” one where policy makers must fundamentally retool systems and structures to truly accommodate the coming AI revolution.”
