Annahid Dashtgard is a nonfiction author and CEO of the diversity and inclusion company Anima Leadership. The author of Breaking the Ocean and Bones of Belonging, she is a recognized expert on race, trauma, leadership, and social change. Her essays have been published in The Walrus, Chatelaine, The Globe and Mail, and Toronto Star. Alongside her writing, she hosts the podcast Soundwaves of Belonging. Dashtgard currently serves on The Writers’ Union of Canada national council and lives in Toronto.
