Featuring the presentation of nine literary prizes and more than $302,000 to Canadian writers in three unique digital events.
On Wednesday, October 21, the winners of three $10,000 emerging writers awards were announced: RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers (short fiction and poetry), Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ Emerging Writers, and Writers’ Trust McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize.
On Wednesday, November 18, the winners of two of Canada’s most prestigious book prizes were revealed: Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction ($60,000) and Writers' Trust Fiction Prize ($50,000).
On Wednesday, December 2 the recipients of four $25,000 career achievement awards were honoured: Matt Cohen Award: In Celebration of A Writing Life, Latner Writers’ Trust Poetry Prize, Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People, and Writers’ Trust Engel Findley Award.
