All are welcome to attend the 13th annual Writers’ Trust Awards, to be held this year on Tuesday, November 20th in Toronto at the Glenn Gould Studio. One of Canada’s premiere literary events, the evening features the presentation of six literary prizes and more than $100,000, making it one of the richest awards nights in the country. Join us as we celebrate the year’s best books and highlight the achievements of Canada’s supreme literary talents.
The shortlists for the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize and the Writers' Trust / McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize will be announced at a ceremony in Toronto at Ben McNally Books on Monday, September 30th, 2013.
(Previously, the dates of the 2013 WTA events were incorrectly listed as October 1 and November 12.)
2012 Awards
Last year's big winners included Tamas Dobozy for his collection of short stories, Siege 13; Alex Pugsley for his short story "Crisis on Earth-X;" career-based awards for Jean Little, Nino Ricci, and Paul Yee; and an award recognizing the Metcalf Foundation for their support of Canadian children's literature for 50 years.
