About the Story

When a former couple has a chance encounter on a B.C. ferry, old grievances and desires alike resurface with surprising results.
 

About the Author 

Clea Young’s stories have appeared in EVENT, Grain, The Fiddlehead, The Malahat Review, Prairie Fire, Room, and Coming Attractions. In 2012, she was shortlisted for the CBC Short Story Prize. This marks her third appearance in The Journey Prize Stories. Clea received an MFA from the University of British Columbia. She is currently Artistic Associate at the Vancouver Writers Fest and lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, with her husband and son.
